Data privacy and cybersecurity are getting prioritised both internally in companies and by regulators. This adds pressure for companies' security management and talent, especially because they must comply with increasing and distinct cross-border data regulations. Increased regulatory scrutiny is one of the drivers of this prioritisation (eg. EU's AI, cybersecurity and cyber resilience acts, or GDPR), but public awareness and self-interest as well. Organizations need to consider things like data encryption, password protection, and network security to strengthen their data privacy, as well as to have a team of cybersecurity professionals.
