Increased demand for cybersecurity professionals produces larger shortages in talent and expertise to help companies to keep up with increasing cybersecurity challenges. These challenges increase due to multiplication of cyberattacks, transformation in the sector, and new and geographically distinct regulations. This makes that cybersecurity staff is growing increasingly fatigued and overwhelmed with security alerts. Companies are dealing with this by increasingly trying to simplify the security architectures of their IT and by distributing cybersecurity leaders in different parts of the organisation. The use of AI in cybersecurity is still low but promises to help alleviate this shortage.
