The systematic Mapping of Practices, Outcomes and Players (POP) is a more specific approach to case studies research with the overall objective of conducting an inductive evidence- and expertise-based analysis of the state-of-the-art of a given foresight focus area.
This method has been widely applied in international initiatives (e.g. European Union funded projects) where country- and region-specific experiences are used to draw lessons for the co-creation of common frameworks supporting decision-making processes.
